eIDAS 2.0
Become a relying party. Without the integration burden.
Thoryn ships the OpenID4VP flow, SD-JWT VC and mdoc support, and the trust framework plumbing — so you can start accepting EUDIW presentations in days, not quarters.
What is eIDAS 2.0?
eIDAS 2.0 is the EU regulation that brings every member state a sovereign digital identity wallet (EUDIW). Citizens and businesses carry verified credentials on their phone; online services like yours accept those credentials as proof of identity, attributes, or qualifications — without building your own identity stack.
Flow
A 5-step verification flow
- Step 1
User scans a QR or clicks a deep link into their EUDIW.
- Step 2
The wallet selects credentials matching your presentation definition.
- Step 3
The user consents to share selective disclosure claims.
- Step 4
Your verifier receives a signed VP token.
- Step 5
Thoryn validates the signature, checks the trust registry, and returns the verified claims.
Formats
Credential formats, out of the box
SD-JWT VC
Selective-disclosure JSON Web Tokens — the ARF-recommended format for online verification.
mdoc (ISO/IEC 18013-5)
The binary credential format used for mobile driving licences and EUDIW offline presentations.
Compliance
ARF 1.4+ compliant

Integration
Point Thoryn at your EUDIW test suite — we handle the rest
One endpoint, one presentation definition, one callback. Thoryn runs the wallet dance and calls you back with verified claims — no spec-chasing, no protocol rewrites when ARF ships a new revision.
- OpenID4VP verifier running on EU-only infrastructure
- Revocation checks against the trust registry on every presentation
- Replay protection, nonce validation, and structured audit logs
FAQ
Frequently asked
- Can I test against the NL reference wallet?
- Yes — Thoryn's eIDAS verifier is tested against the NL reference wallet, the EU reference wallet, and the conformance suites published under ARF.
- What happens when ARF updates?
- We track ARF revisions and ship updates to the verifier without requiring you to change your integration. Your presentation definitions and callback remain the same.
- Do I need to run my own issuer?
- No — relying parties only accept credentials. Issuance is handled by member states and qualified issuers in the EUDIW ecosystem.
- Is this already production-ready?
- The EUDIW ecosystem itself rolls out through 2026. Thoryn's verifier is production-ready today against the reference wallets; you can prepare your integration now and go live when the ecosystem does.
